Jonathan Pushing Through the Gravel

Jonathan C. Puskas of Lake Oswego got his feet wet as a Commander in the United States Navy. Mt. Hood Hell Climb extreme short course triathalon. 12 miles start to finish, 4800 feet of climbing, 20% Grade, absolutely no outside assistance, just you against the mountain! 1.2 mile swim in cold Trillium Lake, 8.6 mile bike climb to Timberline Lodge, followed by a 2.3 mile run up the mountain to the top of the Palmer Glacier ski lift. Raced in cold, rain, sleet, fog, and thin mountin air by world class athletes; truly an epic debut event! (MHHC 2011 #276 - Version 2)
